You pull off a handful of the small purple berries from the bush next to you. Tossing them into your mouth and chewing, at first there is a pleasant sweetness but soon a bitter aftertaste overwhelms your senses. The poison acts so swiftly, you can almost feel it coursing through each vein. You crumple to the stone floor and breathe no more.
